To say that I have an obsession with frozen yogurt is a gross understatement. I blame my mother entirely for this. I've sampled various establishments' frozen yogurt, but I've never had White Hat's before and I've been told that it was particularly excellent. Fortunately, I found the perfect excuse when one day, Ashley Gosiengfiao plurked the poster for the White Hat Charity Cosplay event. :D

The moment I saw that it was cosplay and frozen yogurt AND charity all in one event, I made up my mind to go. And okay, the poster said that there was a little costrip competition and whoever won will get TWO MONTHS SUPPLY of yogurt. Now THERE'S a prize worth fighting for.

For the occasion, I got a red umbrella, and for the first time, we made full use of the new make up that mom had specially ordered. Everything went a lot more smoothly in the makeup and hair process now, and the end result was the perfect porcelain white geisha face that I had long wanted. :D

So I donned my new Kessho and went happily to an afternoon of frozen yogurt goodness (like an addict to a crackhouse, I swear). I arrived in Shangri-la a little after one, receiving some amused looks from the Shangri-la patrons. I found this particularly relieving since the Shangri-la people seemed more game to see people in strange clothes as opposed to Megamall patrons who gawped openly. I nearly got lost, but the kindly people at information helped me find my way.

I found very few cosplayers when I arrived. By few, I mean less than ten. This number slowly increased as time went by in the afternoon, but it was clear that the photographer-to-cosplayer ratio was leaning in favor of the photographers who were, as everyone must admit, waiting for the appearance of the Gosiengfiao girls, :iconorangeish: and :iconblackmagealodia:.

They weren't there yet when I arrived, so I helped myself to a large yogurt laden with berries while I hung out with my friends Leo, Rinni and her boyfriend Arc. :) The yogurt tasted like paradise, might I add. More and more people arrived, bearing cameras or coming as cosplayers. Everyone was very friendly and it wasn't chaotic like a con--it was like a social party where everyone was connecting and getting to know each other and making friends. I saw lots of people and photographers I knew, I even saw Xandra and Garry there. Gian was there too, and so was my classmate Lei and her cousin Robi. :) A nice lady presently told me that all participating cosplayers please put their names, characters and contact numbers on their White Hat receipts for the judging later. ^^

Alodia and Ashley arrived presently, and were greeted by the usual full array of cam flashes from the semicircle wall of photographers. I swear it must've taken them fifteen minutes to walk twenty feet. XD The two were real troopers, standing and posing for the photo op session with the cosplayers after their own turn solo at the wall, and without even so much as sitting down, they continued smoothly to begin serving yogurt to everyone in the place. How they managed to perform such feats in those four-inch heels they were wearing is beyond my conception (I myself couldn't withstand it when I wore heels to the first day of MCC).

I happily got myself a second smaller cup (let's not be gluttons here...) with strawberries. ^^ I happily got photographed with this cute little cup of yogurt that perfectly matched my entire color theme. XD While this was going on, some very nice people also asked for my photos, and I felt good about it because I really do sometimes wonder whether people are tired of seeing me like this all the time. ^^;;

After the yogurt cups were devoured, Alodia and Ashley finally were able to sit down at the judges table to look through the laptop at all the participating cosplayers (there were only a couple of dozen or so, so it went by very quickly). Alodia produced her cow plushie which subsequently attracted more photographer attention. XD I was more interested in the truly adorable GotHeart plushies, the little tin men with the White Hat logo caps, also sitting on the judges table.

As the awarding began, I thought at first I had lost--aww, no free yogurt. Dang! Oh well, I had two cups anyway so yay! :D--and then I found out that the Asuka Langley cosplayer won the Best Kid Cosplayer award (I wondered, how old is she...? x.x Sugeee... So tall!), and that I had somehow won the Best Female award. YAY YOGURT FOR TWO MONTHS! 8D And I got the adorable little tin man! 8D The tin man is currently staying on my bed, hat and all, so our dogs will not devour him. XD

All in all, a very satisfying day--I got to dress up again, I got to eat yogurt...XD. Ashley and Alodia were very nice girls and they had lots of fun, we chatted a little during the photo session and the awarding. I left to go home with the friends and proceeded to have endless hysterical talks into the evening at my house. XD

Haaay... I want more yogurt. I'll come back tomorrow and use a coupon! 8D yaaay!!

PS, I'm splitting the coupons with my mom--she's an addict. XD
