I went in Day 2 in casual clothing, but Day 3 was a cosplay day for me, and I had come to cosplay in a convention after quite a long hiatus. So it felt great to just be there with everyone else all over again.
Recently I found out (how we never figured this out is beyond us) that my cousin, Shangri-La Magsajo, also cosplays (you may know her from her Resident Evil cosplays last year). It seemed to make both our parents feel better and us too--since I was desperately hoping that I wasn't the only odd-spot in the family. XD
Shang, her boyfriend Francis, Leo-niisan and I went to day 2 in ordinary clothes to watch the cosplay go on. There weren't so many people (relatively speaking), possibly because they were saving their forces for day 3 and the fact that the Super Junior concert was on the same day. Nevertheless, we had lots of fun touring the event as spectators.
Shang and Francis managed to scoop up a goldfish in the Matsuri area by tag-teaming it, and since they weren't into the prizes (they wanted the fish itself as a prize, but turns out you had to give it back XD), they gave them to me instead! ^^ Yay! FF:AC stickers, A Bleach poster and two Hunter x Hunter photocards.
Like a good geiko should, I went around to people I knew to greet them and look into how they were doing this Ozine~ I went to the CSCentrl booth to see Sir Raymond and bought season one of Galaxy Angels and the OVA of Mahou Tsukai Tai (I'm a big fan of humorous nearly-plotless anime). Then I went to the CPG booth and congratulated the boys for a clearly successful booth. It was only after a while did I realize that the giant Pikachu at the Matsuri area was actually our Kuya Archie (our geiko benefactor), and I went to greet him immediately. XD
We also saw lots of cosplayers and photographers that we knew, and I was so pleased to meet the famous , who had come all the way from Singapore to judge the Individual Cosplay competition. Thanks to Master , I got introduced to him and chatted with him for a bit. But it was thanks to Art that I finally FINALLY at long last got to meet (and shake hands! Gah! 8D) with , who happened to be nearby. I was flustering like an idiotic fangirl throughout it all (couldn't even string more than one proper sentence and I was blushing to the roots of my hair) and even got a picture with her. MADE. MY. YEAR. Jin and Tuxedo Team's deviantart cosplay photos were part of what got me started in cosplaying, and I'm sure that many cosplayers can relate.
I also managed to get my tickets to Lights Out! 8D The invite/tickets were BEAUTIFUL, really wonderful, which makes me even sadder to remember that this will be the last Lights Out. WE NEED MORE YAOICON. TT
Day 3 came and Shang wasn't able to come because her folks couldn't take her. X.x I was disappointed because I was hoping I could hang with her again, but since we're both crazy I'm sure I'll see her again in the next con.
I had no idea how out of shape I was. x.x Either that, of the whole outfit was just too heavy. With five (seven, technically) layers of clothing on me that day, I was getting winded rather quickly. I was desperately hoping my makeup held, though. XD The con was well air-conditioned, so yay!
SO. MANY. PEOPLE. The con was packed to overflowing and other people stood outside again. In fact, so many people that I didn't join the individual competition. 310 cosplayers! It was a good thing I just decided to just go cosplay and enjoy myself. Besides...I doubt anyone really "got" my cosplay anyway...x.x I was a heian princess but people kept calling me geisha... (a princess is a step up. I guess that's what get for being too ambitious). Besides, because of that, I got to do my rounds of greeting and meeting everyone. I even got a picture taken with Hexlord~! 8D Yay! (I couldn't go to his party... ; I didn't have the money)
Bottom line, I think this was the best and most fun Ozine I've been to! 8D I'm happy to be cosplaying again~!

The Bright Saturday
Hi everyone! I went to two events in one day last Saturday. I went to the Grand Finals of the J-Pop Anime Singing Competition at SM North sponsored by the Japanese Embassy, and then went to pose for the Saturday Group of Artists at Shangri-La Mall.
:bulletgreen: The J-Pop Anime Singing Competition Grand Finals
I tried to channel a hime yesterday in my costume, and right after getting ready, mom and I romped off to SM North Edsa to find the Finals of the J-Pop Singing. We got a bit lost--I was first told it was going to be held at the Sky Garden, but then was told that it was at the Annex. So we went all the way up to the Annex and we were g
The 4-Event Update! I'm alive! XD
Hi everyone! ^^ I'm alive! It's been a while since I last updates, and quite a few things happened. I'll do my best to recount them all here. :)
Warning: Long post. :XD:
:bulletgreen: Adventures in Toycon 2010
As I said in my previous post, I was very fortunate enough to be part of the Otacool 2 book signing at the Maxicollector Booth this Toycon. It was my very first time doing anything like that, and to say that I was bewildered is quite an understatement. *BlackMageAlodia (https://www.deviantart.com/blackmagealodia) and :iconorangeish:, the two new Ani-Mates of the Animax channel, handled it all pretty well. :XD: :iconangelace9:, who had flown in from Cebu with her family
